Trimmed to the same size as heaters, these pads provide thermal insulation to minimize heat loss. Insulation pads also are placed between clamping (backing) plates and the heater for uniform pressure during heater installation. This paper does not have a cut out area for the heater lead bulge. If the backing plate does not have a cut out area for the leads attachment you must use two pieces of ceramic paper and make this cut out in each.
